Karima Nayt is a multi-artist that has spellblinded audiences all around the world. Rewarded by the National Conservatory of Algiers, performing  on festivals and stages all over the world both as a singer and a dancer winning numerous prizes including the Grand Prize of best actress at the 16th International Festival of Experimental Theatre in Cairo for the performance “On the table listening to Wagner” by Mohamed Shafik.

Since she left Cairo in 2007 Karima has worked mostly in Europe with different dance-productions as well as recording her long-awaited solo-album which has been produced in Sweden. Karima writes all her lyrics herself and she sings in algerian, classical arabic and french. The title of the cd, Quoi d’autre? – What else? – is the ending line Karima has chosen for these thirteen songs – different characters who each tells us a story. They are memories, nor laughters nor tears but hidden things, real, seen and lived…

Quoi d’autre will be released on ajabu! in spring 2012 worldwide.
